Spotlight on Accreditation and Certifications
Being recognized for nursing excellence
Being recognized as one of the best only happens when staff across all levels of the organization are working towards the end result: excellence. We worked with hospitals in Toronto, Canada and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to help their teams prepare throughout the AANC Magnet Designation process for Nursing Excellence. This evidence-based sector designation involves the principles of Magnet being enculturated across all levels and all disciplines of the organization from housekeeping to the Board of Directors. By developing a deep understanding of the designation criteria we created and supported the implementation of a year-long communication and engagement plan. The end result was a near perfect score on the site visits and one of the hospitals being recognized as the first in Canada to achieve this prestigious designation.
